So Ive been debating what to get next on the truck. I have an 04 Tacoma 3.4 L. So far I got it lifted with great wheels and tires and I put my intake on last year. Next is going to either be the headers or the cat back. Im leaning to doing the exhaust first from the cat back with the Flowmaster 40 series. Any advice?

    Welcome to Tacoma World ;)
I'm not sure what the 40 series does on the 3.4L but on the 4.0L it actually loses power. There's a ton of info on this site. I would search the 1G and performance forums for a complete and acurate answer.
    Enjoy your stay

Thanks I appreciate any info I can get. Do I even need to do the Cat back or can I save some money and Just do the muffler?

Do you plan on going F/I(forced induction) ?? Save your $$ on the catback.
As for the muffler, like Tacobox said..you'll probably lose power w/Flowmaster.Reason why is they are baffled/built for sound only.Dynomax and Magnaflow will give you a cool sound and they're a free flow or flow through muffler.

RIDINGONTRD--- By F/I do you mean a cold air intake? I already put one on. I dont think i will do the cat back now. If the stock pipe is 2 1/4 its not worth it to pay all that money for no reason. Thanks for the advice. The more I read the more I realize your right.
HIMMIE--- Thanks for the warm welcome!

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
WELCOME!! You will find EVERYTHING you need Taco on here. By forced he meant a tube that comes down and grabs air from in front of the truck. "True" cold air and forced into the throttle body.

Pretty sure he ment super charger ;) Forced induction could also mean turbo aswell.

Check out a dynomax muffler. They are very cost effective while givin ya a gain in power and sound. They make a coulple different models. Ultra flow or super turbo would be your best bet. GL

Winner! If the op had plans later down the road getting a super charger
OR a turbo, I would of suggested getting a catback for the larger dia.
pipe. I had me a JBA catback, then i found out it was not a flow through
muffler.:frusty: (before i found TW) Kept the pipe and put in a Dynomax.
    Much better. :D
