    Hey, all.

My beloved 1985 Landcruiser left me on the side of the road (again) recently. She had 293,000 miles on her, and it was a disastrous breakdown - my temp gauge and oil pressure gauge both failed on a long highway trip, and when the water pump went bad, I went through all the water and then all the oil before I had any idea anything was wrong. No signs of overheating, everything felt totally normal. Until I blew a rod and I heard the worst clanging I'd ever heard. I knew immediately it was fatal.

I decided not to rebuild the engine (again), and yesterday I bought my first "car loan" car - a Certified 2007 Tacoma, V6 SR5 4X4 with 30,000 miles on it. Pretty much the nicest thing I've ever purchased.

I spent the last of my money on the Certified Platinum "wrap" policy, got the dealer to match the $795 price I read about on here, so thanks for that. Now I'll be saving to upgrade the stereo situation (stock one kinda sucks, huh?), and to deal with making the most of the bed. I'd ideally love to find a way to have both a retractable tonneau cover like the retrax, and a lumber rack that's level with the roof...

Anyway, glad to have found this place.
