New member, hello to all

Hey guys,, just became a member of yalls site. Let me be honest. I"m a ford guy. F250 diesel with an 9" lift. Ok big deal. But my son has a 07 Toyota Tacoma TRD off road, crew cab, short bed V6 4 wheel dr.. I really like his truck and i listed so much about it cause i'm not sure what i need to know. I"m wanting maybe to give him a simple lift and maybe even some tires and wheels for xmas. He doesnt' want to go very high, i'm thinking maybe around 2- 4". Just looking for some imput, on the best kits to get. Maybe even someone on here has a good used one for sale. So i guess this will get me started. Don't throw me out cause i drive a ford..lol. I really like the Toyotas, I have owned some in the pass and would again. thanks Herb

wow,, you guys are great, to reply so quick. As far as a price range, maybe i should ask, what am i looking to spend to raise it up that much. Do they have leveling kits for these trucks and how high can you go with one and how much are they.. thanks.

Well, you could spend about $200 bucks and get a spacer lift. Or else you could do it right and get coilovers up front, new shocks in back, with an AAL for about $1k... One step further is a full leaf pack, which would be like $400 more. A coilover lift will give you the looks plus added performance.

Here you go guy!
Toytec Lifts
I strongly suggest the Toytec Ultimate lift kit, but some will argue that the OME lift is just as good. Also, keep in mind that if you find something that you like, TacomaWorld members get a discount through them. Best of luck and let us know if you need any thing else.

Can someone explain why the ultimate lift kit is (better/more expensive) then OME? Educate me, and the new guy :lol

Welcome from Ohio.

I haven't actually done my lift yet so I will reserve opinion, but the owners on this site can give you all the info you need.

Go to the forum list and look for topics and responses that fit your questions.

It will help you to make an informed decision. It's been a huge help to me.
