    Hello all....

After having enjoyed my 86 Toyota 4 cyl 2X pickup for oh so many years, I have just become the new owner of a 2004 4X4 V6 5 speed TRD Tacoma (kind of partial to the first gen trucks....)........and after having used the site to get familiar and all that, figured I needed to join and step in...........

So, a noob question........my truck has no skid plates other than the gas tank.........I have seen pictures of the OEM part(s).......were these an optional order deal, or a part of a package?...........seems to me they would have put them on the 4X4 trucks just because, and maybe for some reason they have been taken off of mine at some point..........so how did these parts get onto the trucks in the first place?..........

Regardless, thought I would say hello................

The ones from the dealer are usually for show anyway. If you want real trail armor, check out some all pro skids or something along those lines. There is a lot of options, I'm sure others will chime in with other places for armor.
