new guy! 1st question =]

Hello everyone!

Let me start off by saying this is a great forum with alot of help and every information needed to know about a Tacoma.

With that said I was almost set on a Tacoma until I found out Im moving to Okinawa for 3 years. So I have 3 more years to do more research haha or see what new tacoma's come out by that time.

As of right now im set on a 09+ Dbl cab Lb TRD sport. Long bed only cause I plan on putting my motorcycles back there from time to time.

My question is how bad would it stick out if I opted for a short bed? And is that honestly bad for a truck to have the tail gate down with a load like that consistently?

Reason why Im between the short and long bed is cause from what I've been reading the dbl cab lb does not come with a manual. And I am a manual fan traffic or not =]

You could always trailer the bike.
