    A new Taco owner from Virginia, here.

    A good fishing buddy owned Tacomas for years. When my 4x4 Ranger showed signs of going belly up with tranny trouble, I swapped it on my new ride: lightly used (21K miles at purchase from Carmax) 06 Access Cab Taco. 2.7l 4 cylinder, cruise control and bed liner.

    I'm very happy so far (3 weeks) with how it handles my driving (mostly work commute of 18 miles a day on secondary roads). It did highway well on 3 trips last week too, and the gas mileage is much better than my 99 Ranger got. It ought to be as I decided not to get 4x4 this time, as winters just aren't very snowy where I live anymore.

    I'm sure I'll put the bed to good use hauling my kayaks to chase smallmouth bass. I know I'll want to add a bed cover of some kind of bed cover soon.

    I know I'll be exploring for other mods to try, though I usually just get in a vehicle and drive it.

    Jason, Im in Fredericksburg, but I've been to Scotsville a number of times to fish the James River. Great little town to grow up in. Very different from CA!:D
