Hi, my name is Greg. I just bought a new 2011 extended cab Tacoma 4x4 with the 2.7L I-4 and the manual transmission last week. I sold my 2wd Dakota a day later (God, I hated that truck..)
I had a hard time deciding between the Nissan Frontier and the Tacoma, as Nissan was offering 0% financing, a V-6, mag wheels, and a 6 speed manual transmission for just about the same price. The Frontier also had 4 wheel disc brakes. But, I chose the Tacoma anyway. I just did not want to end up 4 or 5 years down the road wishing I had bought the Toyota...
I hope that I made the right decision...
    Greg

Welcome! I decided on similar to yours ( 2011 regular cab, 2.7 4x4, 5 speed) it is great!

(As much as I like the idea of disc brakes in the rear they have been a pain on our VWs. It seems like rear rotors wear out as fast as the pads! Rear drums and shoes last almost forever)

Interesting. My wife and I do a lot of fishing, but we usually use pack rods and ride two-up on my DR650 and get out to some very secluded spots. Where do you usually fish around Ware?
