    Just give it some time
How we doing TacomaWorld? I'm a brand new Tacoma owner, and very new to the truck scene as well. I've just purchased an '06 Prerunner SR5 2WD Double Cab. The last parts of that are probably redundant to say, but that's what I'm here to learn. For the most part, I'm a city boy who's never owned a truck. But I now live in the sunny south along the coast, but with a lot of nature close by.

I hope you'se are a patient bunch as I don't know a whole lot of the lingo I've seen used thus far, but every journey begins with a single step...on the gas pedal of your Tacoma.

    Welcome!

The info you provided is all relevant, there are just abbreviated ways of saying it.

For example, a Double Cab Long Bed TRD Sport could be abbreviated to DCLB TRD Sport. LB = 6ft, SB = 5ft. TRD Sport is basically the 'aesthetic' edition while Offroad is self-explanatory :p

    Once again, welcome!

Thanks for the warm welcome, seems to be a great community and a tremendous resource. I hope that I'll eventually be able to give back as much as I can get out of it.

Hi, I just bought a new 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. Love the truck. I am surprised how quiet and smooth it rides. I previously had a Ford Ranger and the engine noise and ride does not compare. I need to go to the appropriate forum now. I have an issue to discuss. (XM Radio)
