Hey everybody! I've owned my '04 DC TRD 3.4 going on three years, and I love it. My wife and I had gone looking around for a potential race car/camper tow vehicle on one of my days off from work, and I figured I'd be in one of the Big 3 because I figured I needed a big truck to do the job.
We drove by a local Taco lot (Tacomamania is the actual name of the lot-hee hee!) and my wife said, "What about a Toyota?" I've never been against a Toyota (learned to drive in my dad's 1977 Hilux...rode like a buck board!), but my first thought for pulling a car and trailer wasn't a small truck. But I got to thinking...
Maybe with a V6? And the DC looked really nice since I have two kids. And they were cheaper than the bigger trucks. I guess I'll test one out.
Well, when I learned about the push-button rear locker (you just don't know my driveway, man) and the fact of the 3.4's big torque, I was sold. Bought my Limited and the only thing I've not been 1000% pleased with is the too-short bed, though a dude told me the other day he had once driven a DC with a six foot bed on it...never seen one!
Anyway, glad to be here, and I've already learned some really useful stuff (the airbox mod...better mileage!). Having fun and glad to meet you.
