I just ordered my first Tacoma and I am really looking forward to taking delivery next month. Can anyone tell me what the total height of the Tacoma is including the OEM roof racks? Also when the roof bars are stored is there much wind noise? Any other issues one should know about this rack? I am only planning to use it from time to time to carry a pair of kayaks.
    Thanks for the help.

I can't tell you about the height since my truck is lifted, but with the crossbars retracted, I didn't notice any additional noise with the roof rack, and I drive about 2 1/2 hours a day on the interstate.

Thanks for the info. glad to hear there is no wind noise issues. Hope to hear from someone on the height as I do go into parking structures.

I can tell you that my garage door is 7 foot high, and my truck sits about 3 1/2" higher than stock with the lift and the tires and I still clear my door with room left over.
