Tacoma Decals

How do you remove your tacoma decals on the outside of your truck to paint them a different color and what do you use to put them back on your truck so they stay on as good as before!?

 

Hair Dryer and Fishing line.

Use 3M double sided tape to stick it back.

 

where do you get new stickers?

 

Almost anywhere. Wal-Mart, Autozone, Kragen...

 

I think when he says decals he means badges. i took my badges off with a hair dryer and fishing line and painted the Tacoma ones and put them back on. I left all the other badges off though.

Make sure to tape the area around your badges so when you go to put them back on you put them back in the same place.

 

use a blow dryer to heat up the adhesive. Then use dental floss (just like you do your teeth) to cut the adhesive (might have to use 2 strands at once or double it up just for strength). Then use industrial 3m double sided sticked tape (make sure to get the good stuff from the auto store with red backing). make sure the back side of the badges are clean. put the tape on the back and use a fresh razor blade to trim around the letters (before you put the badges back on the truck). hope this helps. good luck

Take em off, do it right the first time and save yourself from headaches.

I just took mine off the other day. It's really easy to take them off. I used 10 lb fishing line. Haven't had time to put them back on yet.

2. Get a bunch and i mean a bunch of old newspaper and cover about 8 feet of your truck all the way around the decal (one at a time). and tape them. Then duct tape over the badge, use a razor blade to cut around the letters. If you see your trucks paint redo it! plasti dip spray the bitches and your all good

 

It's actually easier to leave about an inch of paint in between the paper/tape and the badges. It peels off easier.

 

Did you get any after spray on yours?

 

I had a tiny bit. It was easy to get off though.
