    hows it going, my name is max. im 21 from anaheim california. i just bought a tacoma. i was thinking of putting the Trd cold air intake and was wondering if its carb approved or will it pass the smog check. thanks

    You might be better off calling the Toyota service department at your local dealer to find out for sure.

    if you still have warranty on your taco it would be a good idea to have that checked out. btw welcome to taco world

    I boght the TRD intake because the toyota service told me it had the charcoal filter that would make it pass smog, but when I installed it, there wasn't any thing inside the tubing or in between the throtle body. i think they were just trying to sell me the $400 intake. If i had to do it over again,I would get the K&N setup. the enclosed box on the TRD Intake make a hollow almost whiney noise when you get on it. It vibrates the crap out of the box. Good performance though.
