New 97 Tacoma guy here.

Hey y'all, I decided to join up because I'd like to be more in the know about my roommate's 97 Tacoma. Even though it's his, he drives another vehicle most of the time and his Tacoma is my daily driver. I'm always working on keeping it clean and making it look better (newer.) I thought this site would give me some insight in what I can do better.

My roommie bought his 97 Tacoma in Dallas, TX in 1999, and he's the second owner.

Here's the only pic I have, took it this morning:



Here's the issues I want to personally tackle eventually:

Faded headlamps
2 missing stock wheel covers
Hood rattle @ idle
Broken AC
Tint the windows with legal level tint (DIY)
make the dash lights brighter

I'm not looking to customize this thing, I just want it in the nearest like-new condition I can get it to. Thanks for reading!
