I have owned five tacomas over the past twenty years. Love the trucks but they have stood still technology wise. My 4 cyl Tacoma Pre-runner is a stick and only gets 23-24 miles on the highway and I never drive over 65. Any ideas to improve mileage? I hear Mahindra is importing diesel trucks to us soon. VW is introducing new diesel models every year and even mazda plans to introduce a crossover diesel to US next year. What is wrong with Toyota? They seem hung up on hybrids which are great if you live in a big city. But trucks are country and suburban rides for folks who like to tow boats, hunt and fish. Even the new Ford 150 with a V6 is slated to get better fuel economy than my Tacoma because Ford is introducing six speed auto transmissions. Good old Toyota is still stuck in the 1960's with their four speed auto trannies. Help!!!

Welcome to TW... the reviews i have been keeping up with are mainly for the tundra and bigger diesels. But they are expected in 2013 as a 2014 product line. I wouldnt doubt it gets pushed back again though
