I went to a junkyard and got two off a busted 05. Replaced the washers on the two bolts near the cab with them. Worked great, no drilling/grinding required. That or see previous post on using search :p

I picked up a couple of D-rings to put under the front two bed bolts. When I unscrew the bed bolts they come up an inch or so and then stop. I didn't want to force them too much so I just screwed them back down.

    Anyone else have this issue?

You post was like Deja Vu. I was wondering the same thing, but I went ahead with it. I don't haul heavy loads, so I think it will be fine (kayaks mostly). I mounted mine close to the front corners. I set the bracket on the bottom sideways, so it extends to the side of the truck bed. I figure some of the load will pull against the vertical sides of the bed for more strength. I haven't tried them out yet.

I got a pair to put on my 2011 d-cab, but my gas tank is in the way. I was gonna use the existing drain holes by drilling them out. I can get the passenger but not driver side. Anyone else have this issue?

I use these constantly. The installation was easy in these two locations as the backside of the bed was accessible for the back plates.
