    Greetings all,
I'm new here to what looks like a great forum. I'm a former 99 Tacoma Prerunner owner who is desperately seeking another Tacoma to own. Probably my biggest vehicle regret ever was getting rid of my Tacoma. It was black, customized and beautiful and I loved it but a growing family forced me to trade it. I really want my Tacoma back so I'm hoping that in addition to this site, are there good places to look for a Tacoma in the 97-2001 range. Thanks in advance everyone.

Welcome from Gahanna/Columbus and good luck finding a new Tacoma! I would go with the 01-04 year range because of the frame recall. 01-04 frames get replaced, 95.5-00 the truck gets bought back then you have start searching for another Tacoma all over again if the frame fails.

Thanks for the advice. I Had no idea about the recall. And BTW, that's a beautiful truck you've got.

    Welcome, from Delaware, OH.

I have been looking at some used ones as well, for my 16 year old. (I also want to use it for wheeling instead of my brand new 2011). I have been looking on autotrader.com but you will have to look at a 100 mile radius to get more than a couple of choices but they are out there.

    Good luck

I'm looking to spend around $7000 which for the most part falls in line with the years I'm looking for. I've been on Craigslist, Autotrader, cars.com, you name it I've looked. And yes you do have to look quite a ways out to find a good selection as they seem to be in short supply around Columbus. I can see why though, because owners just don't get rid of them. I've got an '01 4x4 V6 in my sights at the moment, just trying to get the funding lined up.
