FABTECH DIRT LOGIC SHOCK ADJUSTMENT

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ADJUST DIRT LOGIC SHOCKS ON AN '06 TACOMA? CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE ONLINE.

 

MAYBE A PICTURE WOULD HELP. BUT IF ITS LIKE ANY OTHER COIL OVER IT SHOULD USE A SPANNER WRENCH. Right?

If you want to adjust them because the ride is stiff, you would have to revalve them. If you want to adjust the height, spanner wrench.

MAKE SURE YOU JACK THE TRUCK UP OFF THE GROUND WHEN ADJUSTING THEM IT WILL MAKE IT MUCH EASIER

 

do you want to change the stiffness of the shock??

or do you want to change the ride height?

 

So did you get your issue resolved?

 

havent had time to mess with it yet. do i need a special spanner wrench or can i get it at an auto parts store?

i just found the spanner wrench on 4wheelonline.com thanks guys.

i dont think they need to be rebuilt theyve only got about 4,000 miles on them.. maybe im wrong?

 

To adjust the stiffness you need to revalve, nothing to do with a spanner wrench. The spanner will lower the shock, which might cause tire rub issues depending on the lift height and tire size.

 

ok thanks. i have 33x12.50-18s on now and they are rubbing, so maybe i need to get the spanner wrench to raise the shock?

 

It is possible as long as you are not maxed out on the rest of the suspension geometry. Is it 4 wheel drive? Pics of everything up front would help. Also raising the shock will probably make the ride even stiffer.
