Looking to buy a Tacoma. Where can I find the rear wheel/tire track width for various Tacoma years. I have a paved path to a shop that is 72” wide. I’ve measured some early Tacoma’s that were 60” wide, but newer ones are around 70”. Does anyone know when they widened the rear track? Much past 65” will not work due to the turns in the path.

    Thanks, Dave

He's right. Tacomas make their own paths... and are allergic to most paved paths.

When you take your Tacoma off road, the Tacoma doesn't get muddy.. the mud get's Tacoma'd!!

they most likely changed it when they changed the truck desgin. the smaller would be any year older than 05. so 04 and beyond. 05-12 would be the wider ones

So they widened it in '05? Do you know how much or is there a source I can look up? P.S. - I need a paved path, which is at a 35 degree angle/grade, to tow a 1200 lb. chipper.

So keep the chipper on the path and don't worry about the Taco. Tacos can go anywhere.
