    Hello,

Just joined after lurking for a while.

I was hoping to wait until I had enough experience to be an assistance, now I need assistance so I hope that I can get some real world feedback.

I am an old school motorhead and have owned or driven about every kind of vehicle out there. I came to a Tacoma because I wanted a reasonable size truck (don't need a male member extension) that was reliable and got decent mileage (not great).

My first new car/truck was a 1984 Toyota P/U and drove it for almost 200,000 miles and only replaced the clutch and the vacuum advance. I don't expect but could hope to get that now. I am just not sure with what I have recently witnessed from Toyota.

I will, in due time, post my story about my truck purchase which tells so much about the modern Toyota. It's not necessarily a good one but it was proimising.

I am kind of a no bull guy so forgive me if I call it like I see it. Sometimes though eye of experience, sometimes just red eyes.

    See you around.

    Chuim

Hey Chumly welcome to TW, wow that must of been something to actually drive a NEW 84 off the lot, boy i would sell my TACO for a brand new 84 4runner in a heart beat, one like that would probably cost more then a new 2011 4runner no doubt but well worth it!
