    Hey fellow truckers!

My husband and I just bought our first Tacoma (read: first pickup ever) a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Sad thing is, I'm still learning to drive it, ha. It's an I4 5-speed and is the first standard transmission I've ever driven. I still mutter "gently gently" to myself when letting out the clutch as to minimize killing it.

I absolutely love this truck. It took me awhile to find one with all the features I wanted (fuel-efficient, creature-comforts, trim, color) but once I did, I fell in love! I can only hope that the 2nd generations live as long as the 1st generations are famous for. We had a 1991 Explorer that we pushed to 225,000-miles, then sold to live on for another few, so I fully expect to push this Tacoma to 300,000+ miles. Time will tell :)

But, yes! Literal tailgate parties! Hauling refrigerators! Hauling things longer than 8ft! YAY!! :yay:

Enjoy!! There easy to fall in love with. Fixing to sell my 07 TRD Sport 2WD to get a 2012 4x4 offroad. Can't wait, tired of my being able to fish my fishing spot when the road holds heavy water on the road to get there. I've passed through it before with sucess but I have been stuck as well. :D

I taught both my boys to drive a stick shift. Starting in a parking lot, learn to let out the clutch without giving it any gas at all. Once you get the hang of letting out the clutch with out stalling the truck, start to use the gas pedal.

We brought our Tacoma from a Carmax dealer in Houston! Luckily, it hadn't been on the lot long enough to get one of those dorky dealer tags on it :D
