    Just got a 12 Double with the Off Road package. First time Tacoma owner but I lurked for a month to get more information prior to purchase. I think I got a decent deal, 500 under invoice. Got rid of my 2001 Xterra which was rusting away.

    Ill likely be scouring the forum to see about installing a CB, light Mods, something to cover the bed, etc. Mine will be primarly a commuter as I will drive 30K a year.

    Coming from an Xterra, I was looking for something with the LSD or Rear Lockers, not sure what to think of the Electronic LSD, so I opted for the off road package.

    Well, all Tacomas have TRAC and in 4WD HI, it really adds to the trucks climbing and sand driving abilities over non-TRAC 4WD Tacomas (I had 2 before my 2010).

    The A-TRAC in 4WD LOW is such a great feature and nice that we don't need to spend thousands for a front locker just to have that kind of traction on the front end in low range.

    Welcome...I'm very new ..bought my 2012 dbl cab 4wd sport on saturday afternoon...came home with it about 9:30 at night with it......lovin it. I too will be doing a lot of commuting...about 20k per year...that is why I chose the toyota.
