I am really excited about my new 2012 Tacoma. Every 10 years I get a new car but I was still sad to see my 2002 Nissan go. She had 240,000 mi on her and was on her last legs. My 91 Subaru was given to the father in law and he is still driving that car.
The Tacoma feels great. First of all it smells like heaven in there. The seat is very comfortable. I need to get used to all the gadgets. Especially the back up camera in the rear view mirror. I almost crashed into a pillar with my side mirror because I was not paying attention to them.
My last two cars had no extras. No power anything. The Nissan did not even have and antenna when I got it new. They called it a lost leader.
I enjoy taking great care or my cars knowing that I am in at least a ten year relationship with them.
I always wanted to Toyota because of their reputation and seeing them in action. Living in Vermont and Colorado the Subaru kicked butt. Do you know what Subaru is spelled backwards. Cheesy, but my wife even made me a shirt with that on it.
Anyway I am looking forward to getting involved with the forum.
I found out about Tacoma World from a guy at REI here in Seattle who said it was a great place to answer and ask questions.

Thanks for all the kind words. I have been spending the past two days trying to rig up the rack and the toolbox.
I finally figured out that I can use 1"carriage bolts and they stay in the track. So psyched I will install it tomorrow.
    New Truck tons of fun.
PS as you would of guessed it is a blast to drive.
