Im getting my first Taco in a month or two 2012 TRD Off road package 4x4 V6. Im stuck on what lift to slap on it. I have been lookin hard at Total Chaos w/Icon coil overs. Or maybe a Fabtech stage three lift. also thinking about going up one size on the wheel set to 17". Not sure what kind of tires to use. Throw me a bone here......

    thanks,
    Scott

The lift depends on what you will be using your truck for. Look into the suspension sub forum and the stickies there will help you decide what you need.

Out of the two you mentioned the Icon with Total Chaos is bad ass. I would go with that. As for tire size I like 16 but 17 is popular choice as well. As for tire I like the BFG AT KO's as they seem to be a good all around tire and good in snow. Good luck.

Welcome to TW! Try searching the 2nd gen forum about lifts. There have been a few about 2012s already. Congrats on the upcoming purchase, I'm jealous already!

Thanks Dave, I look at other kits and always go back to my first pick. Whats your take on a res shock system? I hear its a smoother ride.

I will let some other more experienced guys/gals chime in on that as I do not have it but from what I have searched on here it depends on what kind of off roading you do. Good luck with your choice and looking forward to seeing your build when its done.
