    Hey everyone, how's it going?

I just got home from the Toyota dealership about an hour ago.

    I bought a 2012 Tacoma T|X Pro.

It's black, access cab and manual transmission.

I've never owned a new vehicle before, and I've never owned a truck before.

The car I was driving previously is a stock '91 Toyota MR2 Turbo. Really fun car, but I live where it snows a lot. I'm apprehensive about driving that car in the rain, and refuse to drive it if there's any chance of snow or ice at all. I'll most likely sell it. Currently I have a for-sale post on the MR2 owner's club website for it. I'll make a public listing if none of those guys want it. It's pretty difficult to find a low-mileage, unmodified MR2 like that.

Anyways, I'm really excited about finally being able to drive from Reno to Tahoe or San Francisco in the winter now that I have an appropriate vehicle.

From the research I did, I told the dealership I wanted a 4x4, 6-speed, access cab with the off-road package. They had one at the dealership that fit that criteria, but it was white, and I really wanted black or gray. So, I ended up getting the T|X Pro option instead, which wasn't really even listed as an option on the Toyota.com website's "build your own" section. Seems like it's just the off-road package, plus a bunch of other options like the performance exhaust and stuff.

Glad to hear you're not a Mall Crawler. A lot of the locals are afraid to get their Tacos dirty. You have been added to the list.
