New to the site.
Just bought a 2007 TRD Sport and the airbag light is on. Dealership says the spiral spring is the cause of the dash light. Will this stop the airbag deployment and should I replace this myself. Dealership selling the part for $270!!!!!

Clockspring replacement is a common issue. There is a tutorial somewhere on this problem. I would assume there would be a failure to deploy if the system has detected a malfunction.
