Hey everyone. Just joined the site and wanted to pop in to say hi.

My name's Patrick. I'm 31, serving in the Navy, and a father of 3. Pretty simple stuff.

I'm not yet a Tacoma owner, as my ship's on deployment until April, but I'm planning on purchasing one as soon as I get back.

I joined to find out more info about the various years/models (specific years to avoid, common problems, etc...). Also, I'm always up for picking up a few new friends.

Right now, I'm looking at (read: hoping for) a newer V6 4x4 Double Cab in Pyrite. If I can sweet talk the boss into letting me get one brand new, I will. Otherwise, I'll find one used.

One thing I am curious about is whether it's worth the money to get the TRD package (or the TRD catback). This will be a daily driver/occasional toy. Are there some aftermarket upgrades that you'd recommend above the TRD stuff? I'll be adding parts as I can afford them.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and look forward to becoming a regular.

Hi Patrick! I got my taco at Priority on Military Hwy, I was a repeat customer and was happy with my deal. I'd recommend dealing with them through the Internet, you can usually get a better deal than you would walking in off the street. Stick to your guns for the price you want (within reason) and they'll usually give in. Priority is a high quantity dealership and will deal on your price to assure the sale. Lemme know if I can help you in any way.

    Yes.
Welcome to TW! The TRD packages have more features, not just upgraded suspension. IMO, it is worth it.
