I rently sold my 2004 Tundra ext.cab 4WD. It was equipped with the 3.4L V-6. I owned this truck for 8 years and what I loved most was that it was full size and got great gas milage.
My new tacoma is guzzling gas. Is their a " breaking in" period after which I can expect the 16-21 mpg stated on the sticker?
My old Tundra got low 20's on the highway!!!

welcome! do some searches, many have asked the same question and most have found that it'll get better in time; and then it'll get worse, usually because of added lightbars and bigger tires :D

ya it will improve once it breaks in. But becoming a member of this forum will result in more money lost at the pump, and then some extra haha

I get 17-ish combined... I think I might have lost 1 MPG with the topper installed. What are your MPGs, OP?
