Love my Tacoma!

I love my 2009 Tacoma.. I live out here in New Mexico and will be using it off road quite a bit.. a bit of a lift is somewhat of a necessity. I am wondering what the best lift kit would be.. I am thinking 2 or 3 inches.. and, am I asking for any trouble by putting a lift on it?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had some experience.

Welcome! You should have no trouble lifting 3 inches. I have the Old man emu lift with 886 coils on my Tacoma which eliminates the sag from the winch bumber and winch. Plenty of options when it comes to lifts so make the best choice that fits your driving style!

 

From everything I've read you want to stay away from spacers or blocks. Like the guy above said, the ome lift is very good. Also ome or all pro leaf springs in the rear plus bilstein struts and new coils in the front is very popular. Don't forget diff drop spacers and rear axle shims to get rid of the driveline vibration and reduce wear and tear
