Man, I have really enjoyed and learned a lot off of this forum already. It is great to have a site like this for do-it-yourself folks. Anyway, I bought my first Toyota truck in 1980 and put well over 100,000 miles on it before I sold it and still saw that truck from time to time still going. I currently have a 2001 Impulse Red DoubleCab 4X4 TRD SR5 package and matching ARE topper with Helo Black Maxx 16X8 wheels mounted with 265/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers. It is basically stock, expect for the few bolt on's. I did drop in a K&N air filter and put Hella 500 Fog lights on the brush bar. I put the brush bar on there b/c I, unfortunately, hit a deer at 55 mph when I was 800 miles from home. We duct taped the front end back together, checked for leaks in the radiator and drove it home - they are tough trucks!!! All the damage was thankfully sheet metal - no frame or drive train damage, except the radiator, which had 3 antler marks left in it! Now it looks almost like new again - found one bit of overspray, otherwise great repair job. She also only has a little over 54,000 miles on it now. I have had a company car most of my career so it wasn't driven much, but now I am having to go out on long-term disability and she is going to be my only ride. Anyway, I look forward to learning more about how to improve my truck and see other's nice rigs.
