Bought a 2009 Tacoma 4x4 Access cab in November, 2008. After 12,000 miles +/-, the rear end developed a loud squeaking when stopping, going over speed breakers, etc. In June 2011, traded this truck for a 2011 Tacoma, equipped exactly as the 2009 model. This truck too, after about 12,000 miles, developed the same loud squeaking which makes a truck, less than a year old, sound like one that has 20 years and a few hundred thousand miles on it. This seems to be a common occurrence, but I have had no help from the local dealer, from which both trucks were purchased, and am VERY frustrated there seems to be no solution. Thanks for your feedback.

Welcome from SoCal! Here at TW we are familiar with this squeak. There are a number of threads pertaining to this issue. Good luck-I have yet to deal with my squeak.
