    '12 Access Cab TRD Off Road
    Hi everyone!

    My wife and I bought a 2012 Access Cab TRD Off Road back in April. I've been lurking off an on for about a week or so. I had a fun time reading about the Moab trip.

    Ironically, we bought the Tacoma to replace a '92 S-10 that broke a rod coming over Vail Pass on our way back from Moab. I hadn't done much 4-wheeling lately but going down Shafer Trail and out Potash Road re-ignited something in me. When we decided to replace the S-10 with a Tacoma, I just had to have the TRD Off Road package.

    I just registered so I could send a PM to DWreck about his rock sliders. I've put a few dents in the rocker panels of the S-10 on roads like Engineer Pass in SW Colorado. I don't anticipate mod'ing the vehicle too much though. We're not that serious about off roading. My first passion is flying and my "Aluminum Mistress" gets jealous if I spend too much time and money on other toys.

    Welcome to TW. I too have the 2010 Ext Cab TRD off-road and love it.
    I also live in CO (East of DIA).
    I also am an airplane and helo pilot, but I have no money left to fly.
    Do you have a place in the Erie Air Park so you can park your plane in your garage, next to your Taco?
    Check out the modifications forums to see all the things you can do to your truck to make it better.
    I've done the rear-view mirror, antenna, stereo, locking rear tailgate and ReTrax cover. I put on the 265/75's, turned off the seatbelt buzzer, and want to do 100 other things to it.

    Close, but not quite. I live NE of Erie in a private air park, Parkland Estates. I don't have direct taxiway access from my house so the plane is in a hangar on the other side of the air park.
