    Lots.
Welcome to TW. These trucks aren't like diesels in that you can add a chip and tune out like 50 hp. But go to URD and look up the UCON EMS. It's a pretty penny, but it is the best.

    Check Build Thread!!
    Welcome.

First thing, make a plan, if you intend on going boost in the future then plan accordingly with your current upgrades so you'll save more money in the long run by not having to upgrade later.

No they are not. Technology makes it easier to get more hp while improving mpg. That's why just like tvs and computers, the price gets cheaper and cheaper. Check this one out. You can gain 35 hp from $25.

I really, really hope so. But I'm afraid not.

So the URD adjusts only when in open loop?
That's like... only while the engine is cold, or when I lift my foot off the gas when doing 40+.

    So WTF good is that?

The things required to pull bitches
You can do a unichip, it's a plug an play. But they don't really "gain" well unless you take it to a dyno shop and get it tuned correctly.

Yea, I noticed today in the mountains putting the truck up hills and running it hard, the loop would open. So if you're running it hard, you'll have an open loop as well.

Ahh... Never looked at my UG when at full throttle... too many other things to keep my eyes on like the idiots trying to cut into my lane on the 71.

I do see it go into open loop when I let my foot off the gas completely, but it goes back into closed loop with the application of any amount of throttle.

I suspect that the ECU shuts the injectors down under 0% throttle and going into open loop keeps the sensors happy.

The one that really tweaks me is the ramp meter from the 57n onto the 210w.
Used to kick on at around 5:30 or so. I could leave home at 5:10 and make Burbank by 6 no problem.
Now the fucking thing kicks on before 5:15. If I'm not OTD by 5:00, I have two options....
Take the 210e to San Dimas, get off, make a left, pass the onramp (short left turn timing even with no southbound traffic) make a u-turn and then a right to get back on...

Or I'll be 5 minutes late for work.

Soon to be a moot point, promotion will be moving my start time from 6:00 to 7:30 or 8:00.
