I found these forums recently and joined, I wish I had done so much sooner.

Amazing as it turns out, the previous vehicle was a Miata. When it was 14 years old and was ready to be replaced, I realized I didn't need a people hauler as a replacement, two seats were fine, I needed a stuff hauler. So, came the Tacoma.

First thing I cleaned out the garage and hauled stuff to the 'convenience center', that paid for the truck in my wifes eyes.

Then came the camper, the Fleetwood Niagara, and we've both really enjoyed this. The Tacoma has earned it's place with ease.

This V-6 Tacoma with Towing Package can haul this pop up, gross weight just under 4,000 pounds, up the long 8% grade into Boone, NC and maintain the legal speed limit without throwing pistons through the hood. I'm impressed. Interstate speed gas mileage runs 15/16 mpg.

Perhaps next is a lightweight travel trailer.

I'm grateful to all here who post useful information, Thank You!

    And, Happy New Year.

    Jon

thank you, xedge, I like the color too and it's fun to keep clean and waxed. Turns out this was the only Tacoma with the options I wanted, and didn't want, so it was easy settling for this one. According to a survey elsewhere on this site, it's pretty much a color not chosen by very many.
