I'ts alot. We stopped counting when we hit $25,000 with ot labor costs and we weren't done yet. There has been an icredible amount of work done to this truck, I forget just how much was done to it sometimes.

I just took the Crawler Box and transfer case out so that I could get lower gears put into the crawler box and I'm going to replace the axle's soon. So you see, it's a never ending project.

    Nice rig!

I'm assuming that the bed you have on the 05 is what they call "bobbing the bed"? What is the purpose of that? Just clearing obstacles better?

bobbing the bed means trimming some of the bedsides out to make it shorter so that you have a greater departure angle...

wyatts truck looks like its just fiberglass bedsides and some framework to allow his sick truck to flex out

Hey, whats up. yeah, your brother took some nice pics. I still need to tell him which one's I need in high res.

It may be awhile before I drop in the 4.7. There are a bunch of other things I need to do to it first.

Thank you. As tigerfan00 said, a bob is when you shorten the existing bed for clearence. What we did was to take the entire bed off, created a tube bed to strenghthen the rear frame area, and then made some fender frames so the fiberglass fenders could be taken off when we hit tough or tight trails.

Here you can see the fender and the frame sitting on the ground next to the truck.

Flexing is another reason for taking the rear fenders off.

But the biggest reason is for tight trails. This truck dosen't turn as sharp as a smaller truck and hence the rear will catch rocks, trees, etc, as it goes around tight corners, so I just take the fenders off and no body damage.
