Just bought my Tacoma yesterday at Toyota of Charleston. It is the Double Cab SR5 4x4 in Magnetic Grey Metalic. Came with the tow package, factory tint, accent stripe, DRL, keyless, backup camera, fog lights, and iPod adapter.

Kinda feel like I shoulda gone for the TRD, but I have some plans to change things up a little:
    1. Get rid of those awful steel wheels that come stock. Planing on some TRD 6-spokes in black if I can find them; will probably wrap them in 265/75/r16 BFG ATs.
    2. Find bike fork mount for bed; might try to adapt a Yakima.
    3. Quality seatcovers to protect factory fabric. Saw the Wet Okoles; expensive but I like the look.
    4. Relocate rearview mirror (I'm 6'2" and almost wrecked already). PM'd a member about purchasing one.
    5. OEM Rubber mats to replace carpet.
    6. OEM Roof Rack
    7. Partial debadge
    8. Window Vent Visors
If you have any other suggestions let me know. This is my first offroad vehicle since I had a wrangler in 2005. Will be mostly used to get me to other outdoors activities (mountain biking, hiking, camping, and kayaking)... and of course to and from work.

Here is what I traded in to get the Tacoma:
It was limiting where I could go and what I could haul; plus I just prefer to ride higher. The 42mpgs was nice though...

And this was the last vehicle I had that was capable to doing anything. Problem was I live in a city and I kept getting my top cut and space was limited.

Thanks. I already ordered the OEM ones; big enough difference to recommend a return?

Congratulations on the awesome new truck and welcome to TW. You may want to consider the vast choices in aftermarket wheels before you spend the money on TRD wheels. I think you will find that you can find a nicer, stronger wheel, many with a lifetime warranty, for a lot less money. Take your time and do it up YOUR way. The color you have chosen is probably one of the best for finding wheels that will look great. Great pick!

Keep us posted as it evolves. Enjoy!

Welcome, be careful not to get sucked in, this place is addictive.

For your #2, you can get some fender washers at Home Depot and grind them flat on opposite sides so they will slide into the rail (I doubled up on the washers, one is too thin). Then just run a bolt through. A star washer on the back side helps hold the nut while tightening. Unless you want a locking one, the cheaper $12 or so fork mounts on eBay work just as well as the Yakima.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll probably stick with the Yakima just because I already have and use the matching SKS lock cores; nice to keep everything on one key.
