I finally pulled the trigger and bought my 2012 Double Cab long bed TRD Tacoma. Even got leather for cheeper than cloth because they sold out!

I'm quite impressed with the bottom end torque compared to my ranger so far. The truck doesn't have to rev as high between shifts to accelerate quickly. And 22.37 (cdn) mpg on my first tank of gas!

Here's the truck at the dealership day 1

I've already Dimond Kote'd it myself and found a set of take off Michelin 265/70/17 LTX AT2 at the dealership I work for so picked them up for $150 a tire and sold the stock dunlops for $100 a tire! good deal..

The tires do hum a little but seam to have a fairly decent ride and look like they should be much better in snow/dirt/ice. How does everyone find these tires on a tacoma as far as tread life and winter traction?

My only concern is they put a scratch on one of my wheels already when they swapped the tires over, and ive seen alot of toyota wheels with rust. Is there any way to protect these wheels? Other than keeping them clean, like a synthetic wax or anything?

Mine never rusted but they did oxidize abit I bought new ones for the summer but will be putting the old ones on for the winter and plan to paint them then clear coat them. Maybe a good clear coat would help but it would also yellow, anyway nice truck from New Brunswick

Congrats, I wish mine came with leather. Damn cloth seats stain so easily.

These leather seats do too! Thinking of applying some leather care but was wondering if I should wait till the seat break in a little. Too bad Toyota isnt a fan of Charcoal leather
