    Hi Everyone,

Picking up my new truck this weekend, Nautical Blue Double Cab TRD Sport 4 x 4.

Learned a lot from these threads and the experiences of the many owners.

Debated between the Spruce Green and this for a long time but in the end decided I would be happier with the blue long term.

Getting some 3M paint protection and WeatherTech mats to start.

Will try to put my mods in slowly.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the great info here. :)

Careful with the 3m it dries out, chips, and yellows after a while baking in the sun. Had it twice it sucks

Thanks for the welcome and tips. I had 3M on my last car, doesn't seem to be an issue here in Canada. Doesn't get hot enough I guess. I will take and post pics when I pick it up this weekend. :)

I really like blue. I think you made a wise choice. May I suggest a quick and easy first mod...the hose clamp/anti-theft tailgate device.

    I have NFab 3" (Part # T0580CC)

They are most commonly 2". THe ones from the dealership are called Predator Bars and are basically a 2" NFab (I mean identical). I think there is too much gap with the 2" as you can see in some of this pics.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/241829-can-you-tell-if-these-2-3-nfabs.html

The 3" in cost a little more, but I think they look better.

I ordered mine through Four Wheel Parts, and picked them up at my local store and got free shipping.

My other suggestions are new tires and suspension, but you may be completely happy with how it comes from the factory. There are my write ups on installing 5100s to level it and new wheels/tires. I also installed an HID kit from slim cubby that was money well spent. I marked some points where my stock headlights cut off and then aimed the new HID bulbs the same...and nobody flashes me.

Looking good...that is beautiful country you have up there. You are really going to get good use out of your Tacoma in your area. Keep those pics coming.
