I've driven a Dodge Ram 50 since 1992 as my beater and a 1987 Mustang GT I bought new. I just sold the Mustang and got a two-seater convertible and a new Taco for everyday. I got it with 4 miles on it. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System malfunctioned 10 miles out from the dealer. I took it back the next day and they reprogrammed the system. They said it was a fluke. No problems since although there's only 100 miles on it now. I'm thinking about buying the Toyota factory shop manuals. The said they are about $450. Anyone buy them? They said they are the same manuals the dealer technicians/mechanics use. I suspect this will be my daily driver for the next 20 years, so I might as well buy them.

Welcome to TW. use that link in tigerfans post to download the manuals. I just did some work on my old truck and the manuals made it a snap.

You live in a sweet spot. I was their 11 or 12 years ago. Just spent a few days but it was gorgeous.

My truck did the same thing. With 350 mi on it the TPMS light came on, it went back off at 400 miles and I haven't seen it since (600 miles now). Bought it with 7 miles on it 11 days ago, haha.

    No worries with the TPMS.
The first few days I owned the truck, it did the same thing. It was the first very cold day and the TPMS light came on. I reset it myself (see owners manual). The only problems I've had since - is when my spare tire was about 7lbs below where it should be. The TPMS is a bit sensitive. That's not a bad thing....

According to my door panel, the recommended tire pressure is only 29psi. I used to run 'em at 29psi - set the TPMS at that pressure and now I run my tires at about 32-34psi. That actually gives it a 'bigger swing' and less sensitivity for the TPMS light to come on.

Dang $450 for manuals? I'm sure you can locate that manual somewhere on the internet.
