Alternator stuck on my 07 Tacoma 2.7 liter, causing serpentine belt to break. Had alternator rebuilt and put back on truck with a new belt. Charging light shows on dash at idle speed but disappears with increased acceleration. Could there be some adjustment necessary with the tension lever and if so what is the procedure.

    Thanks

Whats the out put at idle? The rebuilt alt. might not have been re built correctly.

Chris you could be right! Just contacted shop where alt was repaired and they asked me to bring it back so they can check it out. It runs hot after just a few minutes operation.

    Thanks
