I need a new truck for work and was origianlly going to go with the Tundra or f150. Once I started looking I saw that the Tacomas are pretty sweet and could be personalized quite a bit. I love the look, and am become a fan really fast! Any advice or opinions on which to buy or not to buy? I typically drive automatics, and I want the extended bed and 4 door. Those are my only MUST HAVES! Thanks!

If you want a double cab AND a long bed you'll have to get the Sport. unless you're cool with tiny back seats.

TRD Offroad comes with an e-locker, which is useful if you're planning on offroading ha who knew

SR5 is a cheaper way to go if you want to upgrade all the suspension and everything yourself anyways

Welcome to TW btw! What do you plan on doing with your truck mostly?

That leaves you with a double-cab long-bed, which only comes with V6 and the 5-speed automatic. Get the TRD Sport trim level over the SR5 if the extra features are important to you.

Primarily grocery shopping, and lots of it! I own a restaurant and I need a bigger vehicle for transports my food... I shop at a food warehouse thing, so I buy in bulk, and a lot of it!

You'll be fine with any model with the longbed then! If you do a bit of searching on here you'll find a lot of information about what comes with different trim levels and body configurations. If you have any more specific questions let us know! it's just a bit hard to give a ton of random info about a truck without more specifics ha

Do you want a big back seat for family and friends or will smaller seats work for you? because an access cab will be slightly easier to find than a double cab long bed.

Are you planning on buying new or finding a used one?
