Hey everyone, I just recently found this great forum while investigating the purchase of a new truck.

I signed the papers last night for a new red 2013 DCSB TRD Sport w/Nav and bed extender. The truck will be shipped in by the end of the month so I'm just counting the days and trying to inform myself via these forums.

This will be my first Toyota (second truck)

Ha! I should poke around for some ideas.

The great thing is that the Toyota dealership offered me an insulting trade in on my s2000 so I am keeping it too. So I'll have the best of both worlds!

Really frustrated. The salesman said the truck shipped on the 23rd, but come to find out it still hadn't shipped as of yesterday. The sales manager said it was selected for a random quality check that Toyota does on about 3% of vehicles. Not sure if he's blowing smoke up my butt or not. He said it was still "at port" as of last night but when queried, he couldn't tell me where "port" was. Pretty frustrated at this point. Hopefully it will be in next week. He said it was "on the truck" now. Ugh

Welcome to TW. patience is a virtue, lol. if i may offer some advice, have the truck treated with a claybar shortly after you take delivery. rail, truck, transport delivery in general can be harsh on a new vehicles paint ;)
