Gas Mileage

So my 2013 Tacoma 4 Cyl Pre Runner , says its supposed to get 24 Highway and 19 City, and im getting around 17 total, does anyone know if on newer Tacomas the gas mileage isnt as good for the first 5,000 miles or so ? Or ways i might be able too get better gas mileage?

 

What are your driving habits like? Do you gun it a lot?

My '13 V6 4X4 has gotten a hair over 20mpg since I bought it but I drive pretty slow.

Not sure about mileage getting better after break in so subbed for the answer.

 

are you having fun breaking it in and revving it out? is it a standard cab, x-cab, or double cab? manual or auto???

Better mileage after break in. Also consider the type of fuel you run right now, driving habits, traffic, load (fat chicks), etc will play a role in the end mileage.
