I am buying a 2013 TRD 4x4 double cab this week. And was wondering if I should put 18 "wheels and tires 275/65 . I will use the car for back and fourth to work but may have some interest in going off road. I would appreciate any feedback.

EVERYONE is going to have their opinions. Here is mine based on experience. I had a 2007 JK Unlimited with 18" wheels. The tires regardless of size are much much more expensive than 16s or 17s and not yet as many choices (at least at that time).

I have been very happy with 17s. Also I am not a big fan of the look of anything over 17 especially if you are going to use the truck to wheel.

This is a good tire size. I ran this on my 12 and had no problems at all. Would def recommend.

You can check out treaddepot.com or discounttiredirect.com. I have found they have the best prices.

There are plenty of 17 and 18" at tires out there to choose from

How it LOOKS is a matter of personal preference. However for off-road use a tall sidewall will allow the sidewall to flex more for better traction. Plus if you want to get a bit more serious off-road with the smaller diameter wheel and coresponding taller sidewall you can lower tire pressure for much more traction regardless of the tires you are running.

I prefer the 18's imo they look better. But if you want to run 17's thats up to you.

    I was running 18 x 9 -12 moto 955 chrome. Now with my taller lift I am running 18 x 10 -24 fuel throttle offroad chrome wheels.

Do you intend to off road and benefit from more sidewall?

There is only a 1/2 difference all the way around the wheel between a 17 and 18 so not a major difference. Not like your going from a 17 to 20 inch wheel
