    Hello,

I'm not a proud Tacoma owner (YET), but I hope to be in less than 2 hours!

    Specs:
    2004 4x4 Tacoma Extracab TRD
    5 speed manual trans
    126,000 miles

Problem: title is branded - owner has papers showing professional body panel repair. Underside of the truck looked good, no rust or anything out of whack.

I know its the wrong time of year to be buying 4x4 trucks, especially in Seattle. The market is rough!!

    Engine is in good shape.
    Body 8.5/10

What's it worth with the branded title?

Doesn't a branded title mean it was previously a salvage?

What are they asking? Is it on craigslist?

Oh and welcome to TW

I'm still a little unclear as to what "Branded" means but yes, usually it means it was previously a salvage, could have been stolen, totaled and repaired etc.

he has paperwork showing extensive body repair, but the truck looks pretty mint. Underside of truck looks clean as well.

It is on CL for 11k

    Thanks guys. I needed that.

The story he told was that the body shop produced a bill very high intentionally so the customer could get it totaled and buy back discounted.

It smelled fishy, but drove great. Emotions are a bitch
