Should I remove the mud flaps on my car? They seem to get in the way and limits the tires I can put on.

A lot of people will say yes. I left mine on because I have a tendency to get gravel in my tires from time to time and hearing it bang down the side makes me cringe. The fronts, however, do get in the way and bend when going down the highway. At the advice of another member, I pulled mine off and cut about 6 inches off of them. Much happier now and still have the piece of mind knowing my paint is safe.

I removed the front mudguards (fore and aft) because they were rubbing on my new tires at full lock. I left the rear mudflaps on (there were no clearance issues with the new tires). I just left them on as a courtesy to drivers behind me.

I didn't trim mine and had one "removed" by my tire and a creek bank. Wish I had trimmed then up so I still had them. If you take them off, you could send them to me.:D

Any lift planned? You can fit 265/75R16 with out any lift. I'm lifted about 2.5" and I'm running that tire size with no trimming or removing anything. Or you can trim and run 285/75R16, with a 3" lift of course.

I was going to take mine off but when I took one off the rear it just didn't look right. Does anyone make a shorter one? The ones in the front hit anything that has any height to it. I'm running the stock tires.
