I've had 1.25 Spidertrax on the rears for close to two years now and have had no problems. I have loaded the truck way heavy a bunch of times and still nothing has happened. I've heard the same thing to but yet to actually see any proof in person or on this forum.

I know it will add some additional stress on the bearings, but I am not really looking to push them out that much. I actually found the BORA 1" spacers, that looks a little more like what I want. Maybe even the .75" ones. I dont want the wheel outside the fender, just not so tucked in.

I am going to check the offset of the wheels that are on it too, because I am not sure I even have the correct offset to begin with.

The only key to remember is to use LocTite when you install the spacer nuts. Getting the back spacing right is important to figure out what spacer to use. you could do everything possibly with just backspacing alone.

I had 285k on my 01 doublecab. That thing ran like a top till the day it was totaled. Absolutely no issues.

Very nice truck man! I might suggest plasti dip on all that chrome.

Regarding milage, just keep up with maintence and the truck will last forever, I've had a '99 with 240k, and '89 with 316k and they're still strong and reliable.

I'd stay away from spacers. Pros: wider stance; Cons: decreased turning radius, shortens bearing life, wider tires are more expensive, more difficult to align.

Enjoy your new taco and your time on TW.

I was thinking there was a bit too much chrome too. It has a billet grill too. I was thinking of ditching the step bars and either painting the grill or putting a black mesh grill in. I don't think I am going to paint the bumpers or the grill surround though as I think it might look kinda "low-budget modded." I really hate mods that look "cheap." Plus, I like the chrome wheels.
