I recently got rid of my 96 tacoma and bought a 2013 SBP TRD Ext Cab 6SPD V-6 4WD Tacoma. Extremely happy with my purchase unfortenately within 2 weeks of having the truck I made a trip across the mountain from Virginia to West Virginia while on leave from Germany to visit some family for X-mas. On the return trip I manage to dodge a bunch of deer but coming down a straight stretch at the bottom of the mountain hit a damn owl and messed my grille up and lost my toyota emblem. I'm new to the site and just like browsing to get ideas for my truck and see the looks of other trucks.

I'm new to TW but have been around tacomas all my life dad has one and cousins have em. Mine obvisouly being the newest in the family so trying to read up on the newer ones to find some badass mods just to make my truck stick out.

I attached a couple photos of the first day having it home, the window visors, at the lake, and a photo at the gas station just after i washed her, and a photo of my truck next to my dads and my uncles tundra in the snow.

Except for the sub and amp install all other work I've done by myself. Tacomaworld is a great place for us DIY'ers.
    Edit:
    December 2012(ish)
I've debaged the truck, put in a 2000 watt mtx sub, a custom sub box that goes in between the 2 jump seats in the back, and a 10" solo baric kicker sub, and painted the stock rims black.

    June 2013
Grillcraft BG series grilled installed, painted radiator black since you can see it through the grillcraft grill, and BHLM done.

    January 2014
3inch OME Lift installed with 885X coils and aal in the rear.

    February 2014
Should have the under hood led light kit, bed rail led light kit, cb radio, and pop & lock pl5400 installed by then. (I've ordered all the stuff just waiting on it to get to Germany, if I get anything put in this month I'll edit the post and move it.)

Welcome to TW from Truckee

That is a nice looking truck. when you get around to doing some mods just search around the forums and you will find the best setups for the money.

Welcome. I just switched from a 98 EC 3.4l 5 speed to a 13 sport, although I jumped up to the DC. Congrats on your truck. That's also a nice looking tundra in your photo!

that photo was taken the day i got home and first saw my truck with the snow and all. my uncle was visiting from west virginia. my dad bought the truck with power of attorney for me with me being in the military and stationed in germany. i wasnt expecting to go home and drive it, but my dad had a heart attack and i went home on emergency leave. made sure my dad was alright then got in my truck with 10 miles on it drove it anywhere and everywhere. tested it in the mud and woods. 2 weeks later i flew back to germany leaving it with 2500 miles on it haha. now im waiting on toyota financial to give me this stupid letter for permission for the army to ship it to germany. being without that truck is on the verge of heartbreak.

i hate the way my tail lights look. does anyone know how i can acquire a set like the ones pictures (borrowed the pic from TwzteD's thread). i dont like the silver and in the tail lights i currently have and i want all red ones so i can either VHT night-shade them or tint them and i think having the all red ones would end with a better result. trying to go with the blackout look. ive searched google for them and have returned nothing. it would probably help if i had a parts number all google shows is a diagram of a tail light assembly in a black and white picture no way of telling if they are like the ones i have or the all red ones. please help.

First of all, welcome to TW! Secondly, nice truck! And lastly those style tail lights are for earlier model second gens. I think the brake lights you have started being used after 2010, but before that they didn't have the chrome ring and the LED lights. If you were local I'd be willing to trade lol

Acquired a Kobalt black aluminum tool box. Had Crutchfield install a 10" Kicker Solobaric L5 in the custom box i bought from www.subthump.com and powered it with a 2000 watt MTX amp. The truck heads to the port tomorrow to make the trip to Germany.

just picked up my truck from the shipping company here in Germany. Got all the paperwork done temp tags until i get it inspected. Wasnt even home with it 10 minutes and went outside and swapped out my map, dome, and license plate light bulbs with leds, still daylight out so wont be able to tell how much of a difference they produce until the sun goes down. All 5 lights took less than 10 minutes to do, way to easy. Next on the list is the BHLM soon as the 3m window weld comes in the mail from advance.

Decided to do the BHLM last night after work, hardest part was getting the damn headlights out. Took a little over 5 hours to do both. Putting the truck back together today just waiting for a break in the rain.

Got pics of the leds in the map lights, dome light, and vanity mirrors. (photo credits to the wife with her iphone) then i relocated my horns and sprayed the transmission cooler and some of the radiator with black bbq paint to black out behind the new grill when it comes in. ordered the grillcraft billet grill and having it powdercoated black.
