New member needs Tacoma!

I ride a Bandit 1200s to work every day; RT, 120 miles. I have an '03 Audi A6 which is a fun car, but camping in it or throwing mountain bikes in one is out. Since I've got into passenger cars I've stopped a lot of outdoor activities.
The only thing it gets used for is big shopping trips and to drive to work when it's raining in L.A. Seems like a waste of money.
So lately, I've been thinking I need a truck and looking at ratings, reviews, and prices and keep coming back to Tacoma for it's utility, looks, and reliability. I had an old 21R (forget what year) back in the 80's. Thing seeped anti-freeze from the head, but it got me there and I could haul stuff!
Now I'm trying to figure out the ideal used, blank slate Tacoma DC to buy. Don't have any big plans for mods yet, but this forum seems to be rife them.
