Brass in oil and Metal

I changed my oil in my tacoma trd and there was brass and metal in the bottom of the pan it only has 52,000 on it and it is a 4.0L should I be warred or is this norm wear. this is the first gas truck for me in years and toyota

"brass and metal" in the oil in a visible amount is a sign of imminent failure.

1) get a used oil analysis immediately to determine the actual metals

sometimes they can zero in on the actual part (engines have specific metals at specific
hardness at specific locations, UOA can tell you exactly what part)

2) do not drive, or risk severe engine damage

3) if under warranty, bring it in asap

tiny metal flakes are OK if the vehicle is brand new, but a 2010 should have zero
visible metal anything in the oil
