I decided to trade in my 2009 Tacoma Prerunner DC TRD Sport Speedway Blue today on a 2013 DC Texas Edition 4X4.

I liked my Prerunner but decided somewhere along the way I wanted 4 wheel drive. Looked for a long time and felt like I got a good deal for being in one of the gulf states. The dealer I bought from was Mike Calvert. They were easy to deal with and made the buying experience relatively painless.

I've been trolling around on this board for a while and have found lots of great information. I hope I can contribute something to help others as they have helped me.

Tell me about it. My old Prerunner was my first truck ever and I was so excited to finally have a truck I rushed down to Galveston to cruise the beach one weekend and immediately got it stuck. That was during the tail end of our year long drought. The sand was high and soft. Fortunately a nice guy in a 4X4 Cherokee pulled me out. I threw him a Hamilton and a cold brew. Ever since then I was really cautious about where I went. Getting stuck sucks!!!

I was looking at a TRD Offroad with Entune Nav and JBL audio, but it was another $2,300. Didn't think I'd need the rear locker that much. Not planning on doing any serious offroading. Just wanted 4X4 for the beach and the deer lease in case of bad weather or road conditions.
